Named species / categories

Ipe · Cumaru · Garapa · Western Red Cedar

Explicit exclusions

No exhaustive exclusion list found. Absence of a prohibition is not approval.

Conditions that change the answer

  • The product is described for 3/4-inch siding, but the linked cutter drawing labels .700-inch thickness. Confirm the approved supplied profile; do not reconcile these values by assumption.
  • No separate starter clip or furring is specified for this system. That does not authorize fastening into any sheathing thickness or wall assembly.
  • The instructions distinguish field positions from butt joints: a shared top/bottom clip at the joint uses two screws per clip.
  • Aluminum clip plus stainless screw is a specified combination, not a universal coastal, fire or wind-load approval.

The screw is part of the system

#9 × 1-inch or #9 × 1-1/2-inch stainless flat pan-head, T20 ttap. One per field clip; two at each shared butt-joint clip.

Installation sequence

  1. Prepare sheathing, weather barrier, flashing and ventilation details. Establish a level starting line.

  2. Install the starting clips at the documented 16-inch field spacing; the same clip starts the first row.

  3. Seat the profiled board. Place the next clip on its upper lip.

  4. Drive the screw at 90° through the clip into the sheathing. This is not a 45° deck-board attachment.

  5. At butt joints, share a clip between both ends at top and bottom and use two screws per clip. Detail the top board with blocking and face fastening where required.
